Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh Sent to 14-Day Judicial Custody in Akanksha Dubey Suicide Case After being arrested in connection with the Akanksha Dubey suicide case, Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Akanksha, a Bhojpuri actress, was found dead in her hotel room in Varanasi last month. Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh were the main accused in the case. Samar was eventually arrested in Ghaziabad.

Samar Singh was presented before a court in Varanasi on April 8 and sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Although Samar had presented a bail application, it was opposed by Advocate Shashank Shekhar Tripathi.

Akanksha Dubey was in Varanasi for the shoot of an upcoming project. Following the filming, the actress went to the Sarnath Hotel, where she was found dead in her hotel room. No suicide note was found. Hours before her death, she reportedly went live on Instagram, crying inconsolably and having a breakdown.

The actress suffered from depression in 2018 and had taken a professional break. She made a comeback a few years later, and her mother had helped her during the dark phase of her life. Akanksha was quite popular in Bhojpuri cinema, having made her debut at the age of 17 with a film titled Meri Jung Mera Faisla.
