95-year-old COVID patient recovers in Ganjam; CM congratulates

Berhampur: Pinning hope for many others battling with COVID-19, a 95-year-old man from Ganjam district has recovered from the deadly disease and he is doing fine now. Probably, he is the oldest one in the state to have recovered from the disease.
Udayanath Bisoyi of Chakunda village in Sorada block of Ganjam district won the battle against COVID-19 and was discharged from Tata Medica COVID hospital at Sitalapalli on July 18. This is the unique example of efforts of the doctors, said the district administration saluting the nonagenarian COVID Hero.
Expressing happiness over the achievement, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated nonagenarian on successfully winning the battle against COVID-19. ‘Your win will inspire others to stay strong as Odisha fights this pandemic,” he said.
Earlier this month, an 85-year-old cancer patient and his septuagenarian wife recovered from the disease in Kenrdrapada district. Surendra Pati, who is suffering from throat cancer, and his 78-year-old wife were admitted to a COVID hospital in Cuttack. After undergoing treatment for 10 days, they were discharged from the hospital.
