8 more COVID patients die in Odisha, toll crosses 150-mark

Bhubaneswar: Eight more COVID-19 patients died in Odisha, official sources said on Tuesday. While seven of them died of COVID-19, one succumbed to other health issues.
Those who died due to COVID-19 have been identified as a 55-year-old man of Ganjam district, a 72-year-old man of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes, a 31-year-old man of Rayagada district, a 56-year-old man of Ganjam district, a 45-year-old man of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Bronchial asthma and Diabetes, a 39-year-old man of Ganjam district, and a 5-year-old boy of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Cerebral Palsy with seizure disorder.
The COVID patient who died of other health complication has been identified as a 16-year-old girl of Balasore district who succumbed to Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia with immune suppression.
With this, COVID-19 toll in the state mounted to 154 while 35 COVID patients have died of other health problems so far.
