4 railway employees among 7 test positive for COVID in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Another four employees of Railways have tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday.
The four cases are among 7 new positive cases reported in Bhubaneswar in last 24 hours.
The employees are 38-year-old male, 30-year-old male, 34-year-old male and 31-year-old male with travel history to Delhi. They were tested positive while they were put under home quarantine following their return from Delhi.
Recently, seven Railway officials had tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar.
This apart, three new local contact cases have been reported in the Bhubaneswar. Of three cases, two are 45-year-old female and 10-year-old minor boy of Housing Board Colony in Dumduma area. They are the members of a family linked with a previous positive case with travel history to Ganjam.
Another case is a 31-year-old female, who is an employee of a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, one COVID patient, a 28-year-old male of Housing Board Colony in Chandrasekharpur area has recovered from the disease.
Today, 8 new cases have been reported from Khurda district, of which 7 are from Bhubaneswar. The remaining one case is a 19-year-old male in Balugaon with travel history of Haridwar in Uttarakhand.
With 7 new cases, the tally in Bhubaneswar surged to 165 with 78 active cases and 83 recovered cases. Three patients have died of COVID-19 in the city so far.
