4 fresh COVID-19 cases detected in twin city

Bhubaneswar: Of 225 new COVID-19 cases — the biggest single-day spike in Odisha, 4 cases have been reported from Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Saturday.
While 3 cases have been detected from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack city has 1 new case reported in the last 24 hours.
In Bhubaneswar, 2 cases have been reported from home quarantine and one is a local contact. The home quarantine cases included a 27-year-old male of Bhimapur area near Airport line and another is a 36-year-old male of Baratpur area near Kalinga Studio. Both had travel history to Delhi.
The local contact case is a 48-year-old male of HB Colony at Dumduma area. He has a recent travel history to Ganjam district.
With this, the COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar surged to 106 with 42 active cases and 60 recovered cases. Three patients have succumbed to the deadly virus so far.
In Cuttack, one case has been reported from home quarantine today. The infected person is a 37-year-old male from Arunodaya Nagar with recent travel history to Mumbai, the CMC said.
With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in Cuttack city increased to 23 with 9 active cases and 14 recovered cases. No fatality due to COVID is reported yet under CMC.
However, Cuttack district has reported the highest cases of 92 in last 24 hours in Odisha.
