Bhubaneswar: Saturday turned out to be fateful for a family in Mohana of Gajapati district after three youths, all brothers, died of asphyxiation inside a tunnel of their house on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Bikram Majhi, Sanjib Majhi and Jitu Majhi aged between 24 and 30 years. They were residents of Birikote village under Adaba police limits.
As per sources , one of the brothers first went inside the tunnel of their house to bring a ATM card that had accidentally fallen into it. When he did not come out for some time, his elder and younger brothers went into the tunnel to find out what had happened. Unfortunately, all of them fell sick due to asphyxiation .
Later, the three aged 24,27 and 30 years was rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead. However, police reached the spot and started an inquiry into the matter.
