2 test positive for coronavirus including staff of Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: With increasing cases of COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar, two more persons including a hospital staff have tested positive for the deadly virus in the State capital.
The two are among 8 new cases reported in Khurda district on Friday.
The two included a 46-year-old female employee of Apollo Hospital and resident of Gadakana area and another is a 30-year-old male, a resident of Nayapalli area in Bhubaneswar, informed Bhubaneswar Municipality Corporation (BMC) today.
This is the third case reported from Apollo Hospital in Bhubaneswar so far.
Sharing details of new case in Nayapalli area, the BMC said that the 30-year-old male is a family member of a person tested positive earlier. He was put under home quarantine.
Further contact tracing is still is on. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, the BMC tweeted.
With this, the number of COVID cases in Bhubaneswar surged to 103, of which 40 cases are active and 3 patients have died so far. As of today, total 59 patients have recovered from the disease in the city.
Today, eight new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Khurda district taking the total count to 315 with 123 active cases so far. Total 186 persons infected with the deadly virus have recovered in the district.
