175 more person tests positive for coronavirus in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 175 more persons in the state tested positive for deadly coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the total count to 4338, said Health and Family Welfare Department Wednesday.
While 145 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres, 30 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said the department.
Of the total fresh cases,154 have been reported from 15 districts: Mayurbhanj (5), Khurda (25), Sundargarh (5), Cuttack (3), Jagatsinghpur (7), Jharsuguda (1), Balasore (6), Kendrapada (1), Nuapada (4), Kandhamal (7), Bargarh (11), Puri (18), Gajapati (57), Balangir (3) and Ganjam (1). Remaining 21 cases are Odisha Fire Service personnel, who were under quarantine after their return from West Bengal following post cyclone restoration drive.
With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 1350. While 2974 patients have recovered in the state so far, 10 succumbed to the virus.
In the last 24 hours, 2971 COVID-19 samples were tested. So far 2,08472 tests have been conducted in the state.
