165 fresh COVID positive cases reported in Odisha, tally at 4677

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally of Odisha climbed to 4677 with 165 fresh cases having reported on Friday, informed State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
Of the new cases, 140 were reported from different quarantine centres and 25 are local contacts.
A total number of 4383 samples were tested in last 24 hours, of which 154 cases have been detected COVID-19 positive in 17 districts. The remaining 11 cases are personnel returned from Cyclone AMPHAN duty in West Bengal.
Ganjam district reported the highest number of 41 COVID-19 positive cases followed by Balasore 21, Khurda 8, Jaipur 8, Nawarangpur 3, Nayagarh 1, Puri 7, Cuttack 20, Jagatsinghpur 1, Jharsuguda 2, Angul 1, Balasore 21, Malkangiri 1, Gajapati 28, Sundargarh 6, Bolangir 2, Mayurbhanj 3 and Koraput 1.
With this, the total number of active cases reached 1519. While the recovered cases are 3144 in the State, 11 patients have succumbed to the deadly virus so far.
